 Peter Parker acquired the agility and proportionate strength of a spider in high school as the result of a freak science exhibition. After, attempting to captitalize on his new found powers, he mistakenly enabled the death of his beloved Uncle Ben.

 He now uses his super-human abilities to fight crime and protect the innocent while living under the code "with great power comes great responsibility".

Peter juggles college, a job as a photographer with The Daily Bugle, and caring for his frail. widowed Aunt May, along with  his  pining for the lovely Gwen Stacy, all while protecting the city from evil.
